Dear Dog treats works with only the best Alberta farmers, ranchers and butchers to ensure that our products are sourced locally from health-inspected facilities.
Organ meats are rich with iron and protein, and with nutrients not found in meat and bones, such as vitamin B12 and folate (a B vitamin).
Yes! Chicken feet are full of collagen, cartilage, calcium and protein. They promote healthy joints, help keep your customer’s dog’s teeth clean, and in turn help with bad breath.
If you are worried about the claws, feel free to cut them off the first time your dog enjoys the treat. If you observe your dog chewing than you know it is safe the next time to leave the claws on.
Warning / Attention *
Even with our delicate processing there are still hazards associated with chewing on chicken feet. Every foot is as unique and special as your dog. So, if you notice anything that does not look ok (splintering or small fragments breaking off) remove the foot immediately. Dear Dog Treat feet are not recommended for dogs with digestive problems, or dogs who like to swallow items whole. Always provide a fresh supply of water when enjoying feet. Treat time needs to be supervised and it is recommended not to exceed 3 feet a day.

Unless your dog is an aggressive chewer enjoying one of our naturally brittle beef rib bones a little too enthusiastically, it is extremely rare that our bones will splinter. Our slow-smoked process does not change the composition of the bones. We bring the temperature up to kill any harmful bacterial, and then hold at lower temperatures to provide a unique product of malleable texture, which chews a lot like a raw bone – without any dangerous splinters.

Even with our delicate processing there are still hazards associated with chewing on bones. Every bone is as unique and special as your dog. So, if you notice anything that does not look ok (splintering or small fragments breaking off) remove the bone immediately. Dear Dog Treat bones are not recommended for dogs with digestive problems, super aggressive chewers or dogs who like to swallow items whole. Choose a bone that is larger than your dogs’ mouth. Always provide a fresh supply of water when enjoying bones. Bone time needs to be supervised and it is recommended not to exceed 30 min a session. Bone should be stored in a plastic bag in the freezer between chew sessions.

Yes they are. In fact, all fresh meat, including beef, goat, lamb, turkey and chicken, is gluten-free. Animals convert food proteins into animal proteins by breaking down their structure during digestion (amino acids are separated and then repackaged during metabolism). Meat – regardless of what the animal is fed – will not contain any gluten.
Bone marrow is full of amazing vitamins and minerals aiding in joint health, and is full of essential omega -3, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, selenium, magnesium and manganese. Bone marrow encourages a healthy digestive tract through sealing liquids to help absorption and fight inflammation.
